My Intermittent Fasting Results – Get Yours Too!
I’m Lee Torre and I am one of the many examples of people with amazing intermittent fasting results.
I have been intermittent fasting since 2010, even though at the time it wasn’t really an intermittent fasting plan, actually I wasn’t even doing it intentionally.
I don’t eat in the morning, the actually time that I BREAK my FAST (breakfast) is usually between 12-3pm depending on if I’m going to the gym that day, then I’ll have 1 or 2 more meals usually before 8pm and I’m done eating for the day. I then fast for at least 16 hours and repeat the cycle the next day.
The result? I am more explosive, leaner, and stronger even though I go to the gym less than when I was in my 20’s, I’m not starving myself and I’m eating a healthy amount of calories.
You may be wondering…
How is this possible? Isn’t eating first thing in the morning critical to your health? Why would anyone fast for 16 hours every day? What are the advantages? Is it dangerous? Is there any science behind this or are you just crazy?
Good questions… And I have good answers for
you. I have done some wacky things in my day, true, but this is legit and an excellent fat loss tool for both men and women. It isn’t hard to make this lifestyle adjustment and there are boatload of health benefits.

Intermittent Fasting Results Aren’t From Dieting
First things first, intermittent fasting isn’t a diet, the intermittent fasting results people are getting result from the unique pattern of eating they do. There are many different styles of intermittent fasting, but none can be considered an actual “diet”.
Intermittent fasting is a unique way of scheduling your meals so that you get the most out of the nutrients as well as allow your body to heal itself.
It’s true, many times when people go no IF plans they also add exercise and change their diet, that’s great but it’s not always necessary.
When you eat intermittent fasting style you aren’t necessarily changing what you eat but when you eat.

But back to intermittent fasting, many wonder if it’s actually beneficial to change what time you eat.
Well, I’m here to tell you “YES”, it is a fantastic way to get lean without cutting your calories down too drastically or going on some extreme fad diet. When you start intermittent fasting, most of the time you will try and keep your calories the same as always, assuming you aren’t over-eating on a regular basis. (Like many other IFers, I usually eat bigger meals in my “feeding hours”.)
Maybe more than anything though, intermittent fasting is among the simplest strategies for stripping off bad weight (fat)while keeping good weight (muscle) on because it is easy to do.
How Does Intermittent Fasting Work?
To fully comprehend how intermittent fasting torches the fat you should know the difference between the “fed state” and the “fasted state”.
Usually, the fed state starts when you begin eating and continues for three to five hours as your body absorbs and digests the nutrients.
After that timespan, your body goes into what is called the post-absorptive state, which is merely a fancy way of saying that no more food is being processed by your body.
When you are in the fasted state your body can burn fat that it won’t touch during the fed state.
This is one of the reasons why many people who start intermittent fasting will lose fat without adjusting calories or changing what they eat, how much they eat, or how frequently they exercise. Fasting puts your body in an enhanced fat-burning mode that you rarely experience during a traditional eating schedule.
Reasons Why I’m Excited About Intermittent Fasting
Losing fat is awesome and one of my favorite things about doing IF, but it isn’t the only reason to give intermittent fast a try.
1. Intermittent Fasting is Easier To Do Than a Diet
The reason most diets fail isn’t because we switch to eating the wrong types of food, it’s because many do not really follow the diet over the long term. It’s not a nutrition problem, it is a behavior change issue. I’ve found that intermittent fasting results come easier because the behavior is easier to continue than a strict diet over the months and years.
2. Intermittent Fasting Helps You Live Longer
Scientists have long understood that restricting calories heavily is a way of lengthening life and it is well-documented. When I say heavily restricted calories, it’s what the average American what consider starving.
I know EXACTLY what you’re thinking right now, “Who in the world wants to starve themselves just to live longer?” We are all more interested in actually enjoying a long life, not just living it. Starving yourself does not sound that appealing.
HERE’S THE GREAT NEWS: The amazing thing about intermittent fasting is that it’s like having a cheat code to your longer life. It activates many of exactly the same mechanisms for extending life as heavy calorie restriction. In other words, you get the advantages of a longer life without starving yourself.
Way back in 1945 it was found that intermittent fasting extended life of mice. More recently, this study found that alternative day intermittent fasting led to longer lifespans.
3. Cancer Risks May Be Lowered By Intermittent Fasting
Honestly, this one is up for debate because there isn’t an overwhelming amount of research and experimenting done on the relationship between cancer and fasting. The early reports look positive though and I personally believe it lowers cancer without a doubt.
This in-depth evaluation of many studies on illnesses and fasting has concluded that fasting appears to not only reduce the risk of cancer, but also cardiovascular disease.
Another encouraging study observing 10 patients with cancer suggests that the harsh side effects of chemotherapy may be diminished by fasting before treatment, as someone who lost their dad to cancer and at the time of writing this article has an older brother fighting cancer I take these kinds of studies to heart. This finding is also supported by another study which concluded that fasting before chemotherapy would result in fewer mortalities and higher cure rates, this study used alternate day fasting with the subjects.
4. Intermittent Fasting Makes Your Day Easier
I am a huge fan of simplicity and reducing stress. Intermittent fasting results in a simpler life for me and that can’t be underestimated. When I get out of bed, I do not bother with cooking and eating breakfast. I begin my day by grabbing a glass of water and getting stuff done.
It’s an understatement to say that I enjoy eating and I really don’t even mind cooking, so eating 3-6 meals a day isn’t a huge problem for me when I’m doing it for some specific reason. Nevertheless, intermittent fasting allows me to spend less of my time planning and fixing meals, valuable time I can use for other more pressing issues. It makes life a bit easier and who wouldn’t like that?
Intermittent Fasting Is Easier Than You THINK… Get Out Of Your Own Way
Diets are easier to imagine yourself doing than actually doing it. Intermittent fasting is just the reverse — it is easy to actually do once you start although it may be difficult to imagine yourself doing when the idea is first introduced.
Most of us have pictured ourselves going on a diet. It seems as if it will be a breeze to do when we stumble upon a diet that appeals to us.
For instance, if I think about going on a low-fat diet, it seems simple enough right? But then when you’re 3 weeks into it you start dreaming of cheesy scrambled eggs, steak, mashed potatoes, pancakes, ice cream, pizza, etc. So a diet is easy to imagine yourself doing, but not so simple in the long-term execution of it.
Intermittent fasting is hard to imagine yourself doing, but once started, it’s as easy as the pie. Some can’t wrap their little heads around the thought of not eating for 14-16+ straight hours.
But once you actually take the task on you will see the ease of it all, and even more, you’ll see the effectiveness of intermittent fasting results.
You won’t have worries about what and where to eat so much through your day, you will enjoy your meals but you won’t LIVE to EAT. The freedom is amazing. You’ll likely spend less money on food and you are not especially hungry. … Although it is hard to defeat the thought of going without food for extended periods of time when you first start the program, it really becomes easy. You really can’t ask for more, it’s super easy and it provides a wide range of health benefits without an over-complicated lifestyle change.
