Is Intermittent Fasting For Women?
Because of differences in weight, the complex make up of the human body and vast differences in calorie requirements, hardly any adult women, especially women who are in normal weight ranges, can get away with an unstructured diet regimen. (How’s THAT for a run-on sentence!)
Getting the perfect female body is difficult because the female body is extremely adept at protecting against fat reduction if you are not very obese.
This is one reason why, intermittent fasting is a helpful tool for ladies looking to perfect their bodies. Fasting for 13 hours is a great way to keep your body in a constant fat burn mode without damaging you metabolism. (If you have a bad metabolism read this…)
Fasting 13 hours is much easier for women to stick to (as opposed to longer fasts) and it seems to not tick women off as much as longer fasts do 😀 .
Generally speaking, women tend to get less moody doing 13 hours instead of longer fasts as well as show more eagerness to stay on track as long as you are not forced to go too long without feeding, from what we’ve seen, men seem to be able to endure much longer fasts without suffering as much as women do if at all. I have done 20 hour fasts for weeks on end without as much as a hunger pain.
My best friend (another woman) is starting on her fast soon and we are going with 13 hours to start, she is a very pleasant woman and I want her to stay that way, ha. If she can handle 13 hours well enough, we can test out 14 hours with 15 hours being the absolute maximum.
Recently I’ve produced various other diet programs which have helped greatly with diet adherence and produced weight-loss success for women, but I believe I’ll save that information for the fitness book that I’m currently producing.
Regardless, I’m of the opinion that intermittent fasting works for both sexes, has anti-aging benefits and is very helpful to women too. I do believe the suitable diet regime will depend much on whether you are male or female though, this is very understandable when you look at the differences of the baseline metabolism between the genders.
Nevertheless, women who are willing to dedicate themselves to this and start off with a lowered fast period can have great success with IF.
